PAGASA Weather Update: LPA to Bring Rain in Selected Areas

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring rain in Bicol, parts of Visayas, and southern Luzon.

According to the state weather bureau, the LPA was last spotted at 525 kilometers east-southeast of Virac, Catanduanes.

Bicol, eastern Visayas, Cagayan, Isabela, and Quezon, will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by LPA based on the 24-hour forecast of PAGASA issued earlier.

Residents are cautioned over scattered lightning and flooding which might occur due to light to moderate rainshowers.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated showers in the afternoon and evening.

In a report published by ABS-CBN News, PAGASA reminded that the coastal waters are expected to be rough in northern and central Luzon including Quezon, Bicol, and eastern Visayas.
