Atty. Cañete Reacts On Alleged Billions Of Pesos Found By Ombudsman From Duterte’s Bank Accounts

Atty. Darwin Cañete has reacted on the rumors about the alleged billions of pesos found on President Duterte’s bank accounts.

Earlier, several social media sites and news outlets reported that the Office of the Ombudsman allegedly found billions of pesos on the bank transactions of President Rodrigo Duterte, which coincides with the allegations of Senator Antonio Trillanes.

The Ombudsman allegedly obtain the list of Duterte’s bank transaction allegedly containing billions of pesos from the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC). The reports were allegedly similar to the documents submitted by Trillanes.

Recently, Atty. Darwin Cañete gave his reaction on the alleged P1 billion hidden wealth of the Duterte family through dropping a short clarifying question saying:

“Saan makakanakaw kung sakali si PRRD? wala namang balitang kumita siya as president? as mayor? meron bang Dabawenyo na nagreklamo na hindi sila napagsilbihan? so ano point niyo?” said by Cañete on his Facebook post.

The netizens also agreed with the sentiments of the lawyer and expressed their support for the president. Here are some of the comments:

Francis Ibanez: “if i had billions like they accuse him of, and at that age, i wouldnt bother with such a stressful job like being president, considering the huge mess the yellows in govt left behind! saedad ni PRRD, kung may bilyon sya talaga, why would he bother being president, and picking fights with drug lords, the rebels, and international terrorists?!?!”
