PNP Chief Dela Rosa Saw Iloilo City Mayor’s Effort To Fight Illegal Drugs In The Province

PNP chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa saw the effort of Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog to fight illegal drugs in the province.

Previously, the Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog was suspected to be involved in the alleged operations of illegal drugs and protector of a drug syndicate in the Visayas. He has been also tagged by President Rodrigo Duterte as a narco-politician.

President Duterte has also assigned Chief Inspector Jovie Espenido as the new chief of police in Iloilo City to put an eye on Mabilog.

Espenido was the police officer who led the team involved in the killings of country’s top drug suspect such as Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. and Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr.

Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald Dela Rosa said on his social media post that he saw the effort of Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog to fight the operation of illegal drugs in the province.

Dela Rosa said that Mabilog admitted that he has lapses in implementing the anti-illegal drug campaign of President Duterte, but now he can see that the Iloilo mayor was really doing his best to his duty in abolishing illegal drugs.

“But right now, in fairness to the good mayor, nakikita ko rin naman na nagsusumikap siya sa anti-drug campaign sa Iloilo City,” said by Dela Rosa quoted by RMN.

It is also the same reason why he wanted Espenido to remain in Ozamiz City to finish what the war on drugs he implemented against the Parojinogs.
