Residents Living On Marawi City’s Nearby Town Receives Relief Goods

The residents living in the nearby town of Marawi has already received relief goods more than 2 months since Maute Group attacked the city.

Previously, the Maute Terror Group has attacked Marawi City and fought back the government forces who raided the hideout of Abu Sayyaf leader Isnilon Hapilon. The extended battled between the two groups turned the entire city into a chaotic scenery.

The sporadic firefight between the government forces and the extremists severely affects the residents of Marawi City, prompting President Rodrigo Duterte to pronounce martial throughout the entire region of Mindanao.

Relief Goods

Over 2, 700 residents of Ditsaan-Ramain, the nearby town of Marawi City has already received relief goods containing half-sack of rice, canned sardines, corned beef, and other grocery items more than two months since the siege in the city has started.

The crisis management committee of Lanao Del Sur finds it difficult to enter the city due to the danger lurks in the area. Marawi City Mayor Majul Gandamra said that the City Government was already running out of funds to sustain the everyday needs of the evacuees.

Gandamra was calling the attention of National Government to send help for the victims of terrorism in the beleaguered city.

Meanwhile, the government forces released an airstrike on the possible hideout of Maute Terror Group.
