TIMOTHY BRADLEY – American professional boxer Timothy Ray ‘Tim’ Bradley Jr. spoke his side regarding the match of Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao and Australian boxer Jeffrey Horn.
One of the most-awaited boxing match this year, the fight between Philippines’ Manny Pacquiao and Australia’s Jeff Horn, has happened yesterday. Based on a previous news report, the two boxers made a weigh in a day before the match.
The match tagged as ‘Battle of Brisbane’ has really hooked lots of people yesterday. The social media was filled with post containing live updates regarding the much-awaited match.
The Pacquiao-Horn fight ended with the professional Australian boxer being held as the winner after a unanimous decision. The scores from the judges of the match were: 117-111, 115-113 and 115-113.
Undeniably, the result of the boxing match came as a surprise to many people. Lots of people were not in favor of Horn winning the match and defeating the Philippines’ boxing champ. The social media was then filled with posts entailing questions on what happened.
One of those who have shared his side over the match is the former four-time, two-weight world champion Timothy Bradley.
A video showing the statement of Timothy Bradley was posted on the Facebook account of netizen Leo T. Kose. On the video, it could be seen that American sports television personality Stephen Smith was saying that he does not understand why people seem fine with the decision.
According to Timothy Bradley, the reason that the people seemed okay with the decision is that the Philippines’ people champ Manny Pacquiao showed his age and Horn put up a “great great fight”.
“Honestly I don’t think he won the fight [Horn] but I can tell you he did enough in it to make it look like he won the fight. Manny Pacquiao was bleeding,” Bradley expressed.
Meanwhile, Smith stressed what he sees to be the reason behind the bleeding of the Filipino boxing champ’s head.
“You’ve seen this guy throwing a punch leading with his head consistently knocking Manny upside the head with his own head which is the only reason Manny Pacquiao was bleeding,” Smith said based on the video.
Timothy Bradley shared his opinion saying he thinks Horn “lost the fight but he put up a heck of a fight”.
