Veteran actress Amalia Fuentes was seen for the first time, two years after she suffered from stroke while having a vacation in South Korea.

The movie queen was spotted during the birthday celebration of her younger brother, Alex Muhlach, wherein she arrived via wheelchair.

Amalia Fuentes was accompanied by her grandson Alfonso Martinez, son of Albert Martinez and Liezl, late daughter of Amalia.

Meanwhile, in a sideline interview of Niño Muhlach with PEP.ph, he opened up about the condition of her aunt Amalia.

According to him, Amalia Fuentes went emotional after she appeared on the 75th birthday party of his father and at the same time the reunion of their clan.

Niño noted that after she had a stroke, half of her body has been paralyzed.

“Mabuti na po siya. Nakakapagdasal na po siya, Dati po kasi hindi talaga siya makapagsalita, nakakabanggit na siya ng pangalan ng mga kakilala niya,” he said.

“Siyempre yung kanang kamay niya, nagagalaw na niya. Malaki na po ang improvement,” he added.

The former child wonder said that his aunt’s condition is being monitored. In fact, they hired a private nurse to take good care of the Muhlach matriarch.

The 76-year-old former Superstar of Philippine cinema was once dubbed as the Elizabeth Taylor of the Philippines.

Her last big screen appearance was via Kahit Isang Saglit in 2008 and Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala in 2013.
