4 Suspicious Men From Zamboanga Held By Coast Guard After Arriving In Negros Occidental Without Any Documents

Coast Guard Station Bacolod detained 4 suspicious men from Zamboanga who arrived in Negros Occidental using pump boat without documents.

On Monday (June 19, 2017), 4 suspicious men arrived at the coastal area of Sipalay City in Negros Occidental using pump boat. The authorities held the suspicious men from Zamboanga because they don’t have documents to present.

The arrival of the suspicious men in Barangay 2 around 8 am on Monday morning was immediately reported by the residents of Sipalay City to the authorities, according to Lt. Senior Grade Jimmy Oliver Vingno, the commander of Coast Guard Station Bacolod.

The authorities asked the men to present their documents, but they don’t any documents. The group explained that they came from Zamboanga heading to Mindoro using their boat.

Vingno also said that the men go to Sipalay City just to buy fuel for their boat. As of now, the captain of the boat was under the custody of Coast Guard Sub-station in Hinigaran for further investigation

On Tuesday (June 20, 2017), the city will determine the sanctions and penalties that will be given to the suspicious men upon entering the territorial waters of Negros Occidental without presenting any documents.

The 4 men undergo profiling and found out that they have no connection or involvement with the notorious Maute Terror Group. The authorities intensify the security in the whole region to prevent the terrorist from entering the province.
