Barangay Captain Fred Arthur Agatep slapped a host during the festival.
FRED ARTHUR AGATEP – Lasam’s Association of Barangay Captains (ABC) President Fred Arthur Agatep slapped an emcee during the Tinupig Festival.
Recently, GMA News took to YouTube a video showing a man who suddenly slapped the an emcee from behind. It was during a festival and the man even stood in front of the stage.
Based on GMA’s news report, the man who slapped the emcee was Barangay Captain Fred Arthur Agatep and the incident happened during the Tinupig Festival in Lasam, Cagayan.
According to the news report, the Barangay Captain slapped the host of the event as he allegedly did not hear his name being called as one of those who will be receiving the tokens.
Agatep was allegedly drunk and his action did not only shocked the host of the event but as well as the people who were there.
Based on the video posted, the host really had no idea that the public official would slap him as he was behind him when it happened.
According to the news report, the barangay captain’s name was allegedly called by the emcee and even the people heard it.
Agatep has not yet released a statement regarding the incident as of the writing.
Indeed, it is really shocking to see somebody making a scene in front of an event which gathered lots of people and it is even more surprising if it was initiated by a public official which should serve as a model to the citizens.
Surely, those people who were there to attend the fiesta which is a Filipino tradition, and as well as the important guests were surprised by what happened.
It is undeniably a humiliating moment for the host who was slapped in front of the many people.
