The father of Hillarie Parungao was declared by an official to have committed a suicide after running through series of tests.
HILLARIE PARUNGAO – The father of the Miss World Philippines was declared to have ‘committed a suicide’ after conducting a series of tests.
Based on the report of the The Philippine Star, Edmundo Parungao, father of Hillarie, was declared by an official that his death is because he had ‘committed suicide’.
Forensic and ballistic tests was administered to the dead body of Edmundo in order to find out the reason of his death. And the results of the tests showed that the man allegedly took his own life.
The head of the crime laboratory in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya , Chief Inspector James Bag-ey, told the The Philippine Star that the bullet that perforated his head through his mouth had reached the ceiling of the police station of Solano.
Strands of hair and blood were also discovered at the hole of the ceiling.
However, according to the report, the beauty queen did not believe that his father did such act.
It was reported that Edmundo Parungao snatched the gun of the police officer escorting him and then shot himself.
As it was mentioned in the report, the position while shooting is the reason why the gun powder burns in the hands of the victim is non-existent and even traces of nitrate was not found for the gun is new and fired just once.
Chief Inspector Billy Mangali , police chief of Solano said that Parunago’s alleged suicide has been witnessed by some people.
Bag-ey said that, on the report,“I could only assume that Parungao was more likely to have shot himself based on evidence at hand.”
According to the previous report, the elder Parungao was arrested during a buy bust operation was allegedly taken three sachets of drugs.
