Garrett Gee, The Snapchat Millionaire Proud To A Filipino-American Despite Success
Garrett Gee, the co-creator of the famous mobile app “Snapchat” is now a millionaire and proud to be a Filipino-American.
The 27-year-old Snapchat millionaire said that he hates being away from his family and brought in a culture far from he was born into. He earned $54 million after selling Snapchat, to scan Inc. and still proud of his Filipino roots.
The techpreneur’s mother is a Filipina, while his dad is an American who hails from Manila. He also grew up seeing her mom making meals enough for the entire town. He also enjoys eating Filipino foods such as adobo, pancit, and halo-halo.
The Snapchat millionaire is native to Utah and naturally speaking their language. He is also married and a father of 2 children, where he name his 2-year-old son “Manila.” He could also spend his millions to buy a mansion and live it up, but he kept the money for future purposes.
Garrett also traveled to the Philippines recently and captured the hearts of most female students who attended ABS-CBN’s TFCU Talks, because of his charm and no-nonsense attitude. He has been also requested by Alyssa dela Pena of St. Dominic College of Asia to give a hug to the students.
The Fil-Am told the students from Ateneo de Manila University, Centro Escolar University, Philippine Women’s University, University of Asia and the Pacific, University of the East, the University of the Philippines – Diliman and the Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Media Arts Senior High School to don’t get comfortable.
ABS-CBN also invited Garrett for new travel shows entitled “Discovery Routes,” which brought him to Palawan, Cebu, and Iloilo. The Snapchat millionaire is also excited to feature whale sharks and other sea creatures.
