Twins Angelou, Angelyn Belocura Finish College As Magna Cum Laude

Twins Angelou and Angelyn Belocura graduated with flying colors.

TWINS – Angelou and Angelyn Belocura finished their tertiary education in Bacolod City College as magna cum laude of their batch.

Based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, the twins who are from Sipalay City took Bachelor of Science in Office Administration in BCC. The course was not actually their first choice as they wanted to become teachers.

However, due to financial constraint, they were not able to take education course. Nevertheless, the sisters affirmed that they have learned to love the course that they have taken “along the way”.

They were really motivated to study well knowing that their older sister, Ma. Blezil, gave up her schooling so that she can support her sisters’ education and their family.

She was already on her third year as a college student who takes nursing when she stopped schooling and looked for a job to help her family.

The twins’ older sister worked as a call center agent. Their father was previously working overseas but he lost his job while their mother has to take care of their sick brother at home.

Having only limited resources, the twins have to do some strategies in studying just like sharing some notes. While one twin utilizes the first pages, the other is using the last pages and they would just exchange afterwards.

According to the news report, their bond as sisters is stronger than the sibling rivalry that happens at times and they were both driven to graduate from college to give back to Ma. Blezil who aside from supporting them, pays for the family’s water, electricity, and food expenses.

Ma. Blezil expressed her gratefulness that her sisters finished college with flying colors.

“I am so proud of my twin sisters. All my sacrifices paid off,” she said based on the report.

After graduating as magna cum laude, the twins are now ready to face the world of employment as they are mulling over applying for employment opportunities at the Hall of Justice in Bacolod City.
