There are many famous celebrities who have gotten to where they are today based solely on their looks and their acting talent. But there are some people who end up excelling in school.
Here are some of the celebrities you probably had no idea who were serious in academics and in some cases, real geniuses.
1, Lea Salonga
She is worldwide known for her iconic role of Kim in the musical, Miss Saigon. But before the broadway, Lea first succeeded in her studies in the Philippines. In fact, she graduated as the batch Valedictorian during her high school at the O.B. Montessori Center. It is already given that Lea has a real passion for Music and performing, she studied at the University of the Philippines College of Music’s Extension Program. She also continued her studies at the Fordham University’s Lincoln Center where she took two courses.

She is more popularly known as a Pinay Beauty queen. But before venturing all of her success, Melanie first took up a degree BS Business Administration at the International Academy of Management and Economics where she graduated as a Cum Laude.
