The lawyer who claimed that he felt guilty said that he is willing not to pursue the move and he only needs an amount of money, Php. 6,500 for each of the men, so that they can be able to return to Mindanao and the doctor can send him the money through the Western Union.
“Of course if sounded like a scam, but if it is a death threat which includes your family, you do not take chances,” the doctor said.
According to the post, the doctor found out through ‘Crame connections’ that it was a ‘scam’ operating from Mindanao. The doctor also shared that their ‘subspecialty website’ could have been the source of the information.
The doctor said that some of their members in Pampanga, Batangas, and Bicol and the other consultants from an unnamed private institution located in Metro Manila were also given the same threat.
Entailed in the post, the doctor encourages everyone to ‘let your families, household members, and secretaries’ know about the incident so personal information would not be easily disclosed.
