Typhoon Lawin causes families in La Union to evacuate.
LAWIN CAUSES – Around 1,000 families in La Union were forced to move out of their homes as Typhoon Lawin threatens the North of Luzon.
Typhoon Lawin is one of those typhoons lining up to visit the Philippines this year. This natural calamity has even been eyed previously with the capacity to become a super typhoon.
Yesterday, the measure of sustained winds and gustness of Lawin even intensified before dawn reaching to 205 kilometer per hour near the center in measure of sustained winds and up to 255 kilometer per hour gustness based on a report from PAGASA.
With Lawin’s intensification, Calayan Group of Islands, Isabela, Northern Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya and Qurino were set under tropical cyclone warning signal number 2 based on a previous news report.
