Pacquiao Comeback Fight – Top Rank CEO Bob Arum is set to arrive in the Philippines on August 9 to meet former eight-division world boxing champion and now Senator Manny Pacquiao for a scheduled on November 5 in Las Vegas.

In a report by The Manila Times, Arum will be flying to Manila to meet the Filipino boxing icon discuss the said comeback fight scheduled for him.

“I have already booked my flight to Manila. I’m looking forward to that meet­ing,” Arum said as quoted in the report.

Arum said that the two possible opponent of the Filipino champ would be either World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Jessie Vargas or the unified junio welterweight WBO and World Boxing Council  (WBC) champion Terence Crawford.

Vargas has a record of 27 wins, one loss, including 10 knockouts while Crawford has an undefeated record of 29 wins, including 20 knockouts.

Both were promoted by Arum’s Top Rank.

According to Arum, Pacquiao already agreed to have the comeback fight with the condition that his duties being a senator in the Philippines should not be affected by his upcoming fight.

In earlier reports, Pacquiao already said after his last fight on April that he will be focusing on his political career and give more time with his family.

Meanwhile, Jessi Vargas said on a statement quoted by The National during an interview at the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame function: “I am the WBO welterweight champion and he wants to return to fight for this belt.” “So I am happy to give him a title shot,” Vargas added.

In the past weeks, the comeback fight of Pacquiao has been a hot issue over the sports fans and the media.
