The Golden State Warriors defeated the Clevelend Cavaliers through the leadership of NBA MVP Stephen Curry who scored with 38 points while his fellow star player Klay Thompson who added with 25 points as the Warriors moved within one win away from the much coveted NBA title. The Game 4 of the NBA Finals ended with the Warriors victory as the Bay Area basketball stars dominated the game and ended Game 4 with the final score of 108-97 on Friday night (US Time), Saturday morning Manila time. The Warriors is now leading in the best-of-seven Finals series with 3-1 advantage.
Stephen Curry scored a not so impressive performance in the Finals game against the Cavs with just 48 combined points in the first three games, but he already made a total of seven 3-pointers. The Golden State already made history in the NBA for breaking the Chicago Bulls records, with a very impressive 73-win regular season.
The GS Warriors can become the seventh franchise to win consecutive titles with a victory in Game 5 this coming Monday which will be held at one of NBA’s oldest home court, the rip-roaring Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The victory of the Warriors came after a blow out lost against the Cavaliers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals as they were defeated with a 30-point margins and everybody thought that it will start the comeback of the Cavs in the Finals but on Game 4 they failed to continue their winning forms.
During the Game 4 of the Finals Kyrie Irving scored 34 points for the Cavs, who will need much more in Game 5 or they’ll finish as runner-up to the Warriors for the second year in a row. LeBron James added 25 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists, while Kevin Love returned to the lineup after missing Game 3 with a concussion and added 11 points off the bench.
