Rumors spreading online about the alleged refusal of the Araneta Coliseum management for hosting any Regine Velasquez show in the country’s most popular concert venue. According to some unconfirmed rumors the reasons of Regine Velasquez being banned at the Araneta Coliseum was due to misunderstanding on endorsement deals.
Some netizens revealed online that the Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas asked the camp of the “Asia’s Songbird,” Regine Velasquez to endorse him for president, but the singer refused to participate and campaign for the administration party’s presidential bet.
Based upon previous reports, Regine Velasquez had a misunderstanding with presidential sister Kris aquino during the year 2015 when Pres. Aquino did not attend the arrival honors for the slain elite PNP-SAF troops, Pres. PNoy went to a car plant factory ceremony.
Regine Velasquez and her husband reportedly did not like what happened for having an incompetent and insensitive government, although the presidential sister tried to defend her brother but the misunderstanding lives on.
The camps of Mar Roxas and Regine Velasquez did not issue an official statement yet regarding the issue of the rumored issue that Regine Velasquez was already banned in performing at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The management of the venue did not release a statement regarding the issue as well.
Regine Velasquez together with her husband Ogie Alcasid is considered as one of the few celebrity couple who supported the candidacy or President Benigno S. Aquino III during the 2010 presidential elections.
