Dingdong Dantes Quits as Commissioner of the National Youth Commission

Veteran actor Dingdong Dantes who is considered as one of President Aquino’s closest ally in the showbiz industry and was instrumental during the campaign period of President Aquino is reportedly quitting his post as commissioner of the National Youth Commission as confirmed by some personalities who are closed to Dantes.

According to the camp of Dingdong Dantes, the resignation of Dingdong Dantes from the National Youth Commission is not yet confirmed by the Aquino administration. The reason why the Kapuso actor decided to quit his job as commissioner of NYC was because of his plans for the 2016 national elections.

Dingdong Dantes will actively campaign for his chosen bets in the 2016 elections but the actor did not made an official statement yet regarding his choice to succeed President Aquino as president but some sources claimed that the actor is leaning towards Sen. Grace Poe and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo.

During the 2010 presidential election, Dingdong Dantes was one of the key endorser of Pres. Aquino as he actively took part in the latter’s campaign rallies. During the grand wedding between Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, the president returns its favors as he participated in the wedding and became a “witness of honor.”

The Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes was appointed by Pres. Aquino as NYC Commissioner 18 months ago in September 2014. During the early days before the campaign period, the 35-year-old Dantes was even considered as one of the possible senatorial candidate of the administration’s Liberal Party of President Aquino but Dantes declined to enter politics.
