The UAAP Season 78 Women’s Volleyball tournament is now dominated by the defending two-time champion Ateneo Lady Eagles as they seeks to extend its perfect run to six games against the University of the East this coming Wednesday. The Lady Eagles will clash the winless Lady Warriors at around 4:00 PM.
The Lady Eagles is now the only team that remains unbeaten in the women’s volleyball competition of the UAAP, they actually won 23 consecutive matches dating back to March 2014.
During the championship round last March 2015, the Katipunan-based spikers pulled off an improbable feat of overturning De La Salle’s thrice-to-beat championship advantage.
This season 78 of the UAAP Women’s Volleyball tournament, the Ateneo Lady Eagles and the UE Lady Spikers cross paths for the first time at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Ateneo Lady Eagles are also looking forward for the highly anticipated game against De La Salle, but they will focus first against the UE Lady Warriors.
Meanwhile, the Far Eastern University seeks to break a tie with National University in joint joint third as i takes on a skidding Adamson University side in the first game on Wednesday at around 2:00 PM.
