According to the ABS-CBN movie outfit, Star Cinema, the information was based on the figures given by the MMFF committee. The box office earnings of the latest Star Cinema movie was announced on social media during the movie’s victory party on Monday night.

Star Cinema stated that the figures exclude the movie’s earnings from international screenings because the numbers given by the MMFF committee only reflects the movie’s performance in local cinemas nationwide. The movie is now officially named as the highest grossing Pinoy films of all time.

During the victory party of Star Cinema, the movie’s lead star Vice Ganda said that the success of the movie will not be possible if not for the help of his friend and co-star Coco Martin, and the country’s most promising love team of James Reid and Nadine Lustre as well as the rest of the movie’s cast and crew.

The movie “Beauty and the Beastie” was also announced by the MMFF executive committee as the festival’s top-grossing entry, beating Vic Sotto, and AlDub’s “My Bebe Love.” The MMFF executive committee also announced that the eight entries have collectively made P1.02 billion in box office income, surpassing last year’s haul of P1.014 billion.
