The Partido Galing at Puso (PGP) of Senator Grace Poe and Sen. Francis Escudero will kick off its official campaign in Metro Manila this coming February 9, 2016. The date chosen by the party was also scheduled as the official start of the campaign period for national positions.
Notwithstanding the disqualification cases filed against Sen. Grace Poe, her team are all set for the May 2016 national election according to the announcement released by Cebu representative Ace Durano, the campaign manager of Sen. Grace Poe & Sen. Chiz Escudero.
Congressman Durano disclosed on Wednesday that they have already mapped out their campaign activities during the 90-day campaign period subject to the approval of the Poe-Escudero tandem.
Asked where they would hold the kick off campaign on February 9, he said: “All I can say right now is that it will be in Metro Manila.” The kick off place of the campaign period was due to the voting population of Metro Manila and it would be convenient for national media to attend.
Aside from Poe and Escudero, Durano said the 12 senatorial bets of PGP are all invited but are not compelled to attend the kick off as some of them are guest candidates, like Senators Ralph Recto, Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, former senators Richard Gordon and Juan Miguel Zubiri and migrant worker advocate Susan Ople.
