The winner of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant, Miss Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, this year’s title-holder of the Miss Universe crown will be returning to the Philippines on January 23, 2016 for her grand homecoming which is highly anticipated by thousands of his fans in the country.
According to Bb. Pilipinas Charities, the organization behind Pia Wurtzbach’s run for the crown, revealed to the media that the 26-year-old beauty queen will have a grand press conference a day after arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
The third Miss Universe winner from the Philippines will be arriving in the morning of January 23 and on January 25, she will have a grand parade, which will start at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City and going to Manila and Makati, then back to Quezon City.
The reigning Miss Universe will also hold a charity event on January 26 and on January 27, she will have a courtesy call at Malacañang, Senate and the House of Representatives.
On January 28, she will have a homecoming special or a grand party at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. On Dec 21, Wurtzbach bested 79 other candidates to get the crown and ended the a title drought of 42 years for the Philippines.
