Director Erik Matti Thanks MMFF 2015 Organizers for the Free Publicity of His Movie “Honor Thy Father”

The controversial director of the movie “Honor Thy Father,” veteran director Erik Matti who won the Best Director category in the recently concluded MMFF 2015 awards night gave thanks to the MMFF organizers for the free publicity of his latest movie featuring John Lloyd Cruz.

In an news report released by Inquirer, the director was quoted as saying “Let us demand for better films… Thank you MMFF for the free publicity.”

During the awarding night of the MMFF 2015, director Erik Matti who won the best director award, was a no-shor. Instead, he made a female member of his crew read his speech. To the audience he said, “You deserve better… Di ako titigil kung ‘di kayo titigil (I won’t stop if you won’t stop).”

The movie of the veteran director titled “Honor Thy Father,” an official entry of the MMFF 2015, was disqualified from competing in the Best Picture category because of a violation of the MMFF rules and regulation according to MMDA Chairman Emerson Carlos.
