Senators Grace Poe & Chiz Escudero Leads the Latest Pulse Asia Survey

Opposition senators Grace Poe and Francis “Chiz” Escudero leads the latest Pulse Asia presidential preference surveys which was first published by The Manila Times who noted that it was commissioned by a private group. Presidential candidate Grace Poe got 39 percent while Vice Presidential candidate Chiz Escudero got 43 percent.

The latest Pulse Asia survey was released on Tuesday showed that independent candidate Sen. Grace Poe got 39 percent while main opposition leader Vice President Jejomar Binay received 24 percent, administration standard bearer Mar Roxas got 21 percent while Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago got 11 percent.

According to Pulse Asia, the survey was conducted from October 18 to 29, 2015 as they asked a total of 3,400 respondents all over the country asking them on who they would vote for President and Vice President if ever the elections were held today.

Pulse Asia clarified that the latest survey results had a margin of error of plus or minus 1.7 percent and was conducted days after the filing of certificates of candidacy of those seeking elective posts in 2016.

In the Vice Presidential Race, Sen. Chiz Escudero, the running mate of Sen. Grace Poe, topped the Vice Presidential Preference Survey with 43 percent. Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. came in second place with 21 percent, followed by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano with 11 percent while administration bet, Camarines Sur. Rep. Leni Robredo got 7 percent and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV received 6 percent.

Although the official survey results is not yet published on the official website of Pulse Asia, the company confirmed that the results released by The Manila Times are correct.
