Rep. Romualdez Believes Mayor Duterte as a “Good Leader” & President of the Philippines

Senatorial candidate who belongs to a powerful political family in Leyte, Rep. Martin Romualdez believes that Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will be a “good leader” if he runs and wins the presidency in the highly anticipated national elections this coming 2016. The senatorial candidate revealed that Mayor Duterte has been a good friend and close to his heart.

According to Congressman Romualdez, he really appreciate the fact that Mayor Duterte immediately came to the rescue after Super Typhoon Yolanda flattened Tacloban City and several other areas in Eastern Visayas on November 8, 2015.

The incumbent representative of the First District of the Province of Leyte, Rep. Romualdez revealed to the media that Mayor Duterte immediately sent over engineers, medicines and relief packages to the devastated areas without the need of the press to broadcast his heroic response and compassion to the victims of Yolanda.

Mayor Duterte on his part earlier supported Rep. Romualdez’s senatorial run as the congressman is advocating the return of compassion in governance to improve the lives of the people especially the poor. The tough-talking Mayor of Davao City also urged his millions of loyalists to support Rep. Romualdez.

Aside from Mayor Duterte, Rep. Romualdez was also included in the senatorial lineup of the United Nationalist Alliance of VP Binay and was supported by Senators Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Bongbong Marcos tandem. The congressman also got the support of Grace Poe and Escudero tandem.
