The “Barrio Rapper ng Nueva Ecija,” Jimboy Martin was proclaimed as the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother 737 at the grand finals of the country’s most popular reality show on national TV during the grand finals night held at Albay Astrodome in Legazpi City on Sunday night, November 8, 2015.
Jimboy Martin garnered 56.76 percent of the total public votes during the grand finals beating three other finalists namely, Ylona Garcia, Franco Rodriguez and Bailey May.
The 17-year-old Jimboy Martin won a whooping P1 million cash prize, a house and lot by Camella Homes, and an Asian Tour Package.
The aspiring rapper from the province who was born to a simple family loves to rap and considers Pinoy rapper Gloc-9 as one of his inspirations. During his stay inside the famous yellow house, he is known for his maturity, willingness to help out other housemates and a firm grasp on responsibility.
Right after the announcement of winners, Jimboy Martin told his supporters the following message:
“Para sa akin po, okay pa rin naman po ‘yung pagiging simpleng buhay, basta may pamilya po, kasama ko po sila. Pero mas gusto ko pong ipaalam sa kanila na binuo nila ang isa sa mga pangarap ko, ang maging Teen Big Winner, at maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo. Kung anuman pong dumating na oportunidad para sa akin, sasaluhin ko po,” Martin said.
Aside from Jimboy Martin also recognized during the grand finals was Ylona Garcia who won second place after she received a total of 43.24 percent of the total number of votes and brought home a cash prize worth P500,000.
The other finalists, Albay-native Franco Rodriguez placed third while Bailey May also dubbed as the “Global Gwapito ng UK,” landed at the fourth spot. For the very first time in the ten-year history of Pinoy Big Brother, two winners were named Big Winner in the Reality Show.
