Letran Knights Defeats San Beda Wins NCAA Title After 10-Year-Drought

The San Juan de Letran Knights defeated the 5-time champion San Beda Red Lions in the penultimate Game 3 of the NCAA Finals held at the SM MOA Arena on Thursday, October 29, 2015. The Letran vs. San Beda Game Three championship series ended with the final score of 85-82.

The Letran Knights ended their 10-year title drought in the NCAA and foiled the dream of the San Beda Red Lions who dominated the basketball tournament for the past five years.

The penultimate game three of the NCAA Finals ended with an overtime victory for Letran Knights who captured its 17th NCAA overall basketball championship and spoiled San Beda’s bid for a record-breaking sixth-straight NCAA crown.

Letran’s Tom Sollano was one of the Knights who proved his worth in the game three of the finals by scoring the crucial jumper with just a few seconds left in overtime and added another two free throws to secure their lead against San Beda.
