Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis was crowned as the Miss Globe 2015 winner during the coronation night held on Thursday, October 8 (Friday, Manila Time) at the Rose Theater Brampton in Toronto, Canada. The Philippine bet was crowned by last year’s winner Jacqueline Wojciechowski of Canada.
The 22-year-old Miss Philippines representative to the global beauty pageant edged out 32 other global candidates for the much-coveted title. She became the first Filipina beauty queen to win a title in an international beauty pageant so far this year.
Aside from Ann Lorraine Colis also crowned during the coronation night were the 1st runner-up that went to Miss Albania, 2nd runner-up was Miss Macedonia, 3rd runner-up was China and 4th runner-up was Miss France.
The Philippines participation in the 42-year-old global beauty contest is the first time for the country, according to the statement released by Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) led by Stella Marquez de Araneta.
Ann Lorraine Colis was a BS Management graduate at the University of Sto. Tomas in Manila. The Mexico, Pampanga-born beauty queen stands at 5’7 and measures 32-26-32 1/2.
