The latest movie offering from Star Cinema titled “The Love Affair” made an impressive debut at the box office on Wednesday after the movie featuring Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta and Bea Alonzo earned more than P15 million. The announcement was released through the social media account of Star Cinema.
According to Star Cinema the box office earning of “The Love Affair” is at par with another Star Cinema movie “The Breakup Playlist,” which featured the first big-screen tandem of Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo.
The Piolo-Sarah movie went on to become one of the top-grossing Filipino movies for the year 2016 as it break the P100-million box office earning mark in just two weeks of nationwide showing.
During a live interview on “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” on Wednesday, the 27-year-old Alonzo thanked those who supported the film and invited those who did not watch the film to support her latest movie with Star Cinema.
“The Love Affair” tells the story of Vince (Gomez) and Tricia (Zulueta), a married couple undergoing problems after she seems to have cheated on her husband. The love story of the couple becomes more complicated when Vince meets Adie (Alonzo), a lawyer he meets while seeking to have his marriage with Tricia annulled.
