Galeno “Rock” Opong: 3-Chair Turner in The Voice Kids Received Standing Ovation (Video)

Galeno “Rock” Opong joined the elite list of three-chair turner in the country’s top-rating and most popular singing competition in the Philippines today, The Voice of the Philippines Kids Edition Season 2. The talented young singer from Iloilo City impressed all the three judges as he received a standing ovation for his performance.

The young aspiring singer who is also considered as a talented musician performed his own rendition of the hit song “No Good in Goodbye,” showcasing his guitar playing skills to the delight not only with the audience but also the three coaches of The Voice Kids Ph.

According to the 8-year-old Galeno “Rock” Opong, he learned to play the guitar at an early age of five, as he revealed how he performed well during the blind audition which earned him a standing ovation from the judges.

All the three judges were impressed with Galeno Opong’s performance, but in the end, the young aspiring singer decided to chose Coach Sarah Geronimo. He also explained that it was his father told him to chose.

Coach Sarah Geronimo gained two new recruits on Sunday, Galeno Opong and Kristel Belo as Team Sarah now leads the race with 17 official team members.

Coach Lea Salonga, needs three more members to complete her team, after gaiing a new member, Aihna Imperial, while coach Bambo now has 14 team members after recruiting three-chair turner Sassa Dagdag and cosplayer Ashley Alcayde.
