Eumir Marcial Knocked Out Singaporean Foe Wins Boxing Gold (Video)

One of the Filipino boxer who made an impressive run in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games is Eumir Marcial who connected a knock out during the game against the hometown favorite, Singaporean Tay Jia Wei. Boxer Eumir Marcial gave the Philippines its 21st gold in the competition featuring Filipino boxers dominating the boxing event.

The teenager boxer Eumir Marcial who is just 19 years old, one of the youngest member in the Philippine boxing team, scored a devastating knock out and lead the national team with 5-gold medal haul in the boxing event.

According to the teenager boxer, he floored the Singaporean with his “lucky punch” at the 0:48 mark of the second round. The Filipino boxer also added that he made sure to get a knockout for fear of getting the raw end of the decision.

The Philippine boxing team went 5 gold medals out of eight finals match, as they emerge the overall champion for the boxing event in the 28th Southeast Asian Games at the Singapore Expo Hall.

The boxing team of the Philippines garnered an overall standing of 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals. Boxers Josie Gabuco, Ian Gabuco, Ian Bautista, Mario Fernandez, Junel Cantancio, and Eumir Marcial delivered the gold while three boxers Irish Magno, Nesthy Petecio and Rogen Ladon settled for silver medals.
