Former actress and wife of PBA Basketball star, Benjie Paras, Jackie Forster has reached out to her son, teenage basketball sensation Kobe Paras after he successfully defended his title in the FIBA 3X3 Slam Dunk contest on Monday winning against the representative from the United States.
Jackie Forster shared a photo of Kobe Paras as a toddler playing basketball, which also showcase how the young Paras showed interest in the game his dad became well-known at an early age.
The former actress added the following caption: “I may just be Jackie to you and though I can only see through tags on Facebook, but know that mama will always be proud of you, Kobe. I know one day God will replace all this pain we both feel with something wonderful.”
The 17-year-old Kobe Paras, one of the two sons of Benjie Paras with his former wife Jackie Forster, has made no secret about his resentment with Jackie Forster. The older brother of Kobe, Andre Paras has similarly ignored Jackie’s plea to get in touch with her.
Jackie Forster and Benjie Paras were married in 1994, but separated in 2001, their marriage was annulled in 2003, with full custody of Andre and Kobe being granted to the former PBA Rookie of the Year and MVP, Benjie Paras.
