Kapamily actress Angel Locsin is set to wear the famous Darna costume once again as Director Erik Matti revealed through an Instagram post his team’s preparations for the highly anticipated movie. The photo shows the team who appears to be brainstorming for the big-screen project.
The director of the highly anticipated movie also added the following caption: “Our first meeting of the crew after two years. Finally.”
Aside from the captions added by Direk Erik Matti, in the comments section of the post, the director also told the main character of the movie, Angel Locsin to “get ready to rumble.”
The former Kapuso actress-turned Kapamilya portrayed the role of the famous Mars Ravelo character in a 2005 movie which was also produced by Star Cinema.
During past interviews, the 29-year-old Angel Locsin revealed that the newest Darna movie is “daring,” citing the people involved behind the camera, but refused to identify the rest of the cast of the movie.
Angel Locsin was quoted as saying “Ang tapang! Ang tapang ng Star Cinema para gawin itong project na ‘to,” Locsin said at the time. “And ako, bilang napili nilang artista dito, sobrang… Hanggang ngayon, speechless talaga ako! Overwhelmed ako kung gaano kalaking proyekto, gaano kaganda, at kung gaano kagagaling ‘yung mga tao na kinuha nila behind ng camera.”
