The Palarong Pambansa 2015 ended in a dramatic fashion as the National Capital Region (NCR) ruled this year’s edition of the national games for the 11th consecutive year. NCR dominated the medal standings with a total of 98 gold medals which was held in Davao del Norte.
Aside from the 98 gold medal haul by the National Capital Region, they added with 67 silver medals and 71 bronze medals to show their dominance over the 16 other regions from various parts of the country.
Coming in second place is Region IV-A (CALABARZON) finished with 51 gold medals, 41 silvers and 49 bronzes while the lone region from Visayas and Mindanao who made it to the Top 3 in medal tally is Region VI, the region got collected 42 golds, 48 silvers and 41 bronzes.
The Cordillera Administrative Region finished fourth with a 24-22-16 haul, followed by Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) with a 19-14-39 haul. The host of this year’s Palarong Pambansa, Region XI who targeted a top three finish, collected with just 13 gold medals, 23 silvers, and 30 bronzes to finish in 9th place.
