“Fast and Furious 7” Hits $1 Billion in Box Office Earnings Worldwide

The hottest Hollywood action movie for the month of April, “Fast and Furious 7” made a remarkable box office earnings reaching more than $1 Billion in ticket sales worldwide. The movie is now on its third weeks of showing worlwide, including the $294 million earnings in the United States of America and Canada.

According to NBC Universal, the entire franchise of the seven “Fast and Furious” movies has brought in a record-breaking $3.39 billion. In the third week of Fast and Furious 7 box office results, the movie earned an estimated $29 million and ranked No. 1 this week.

Due to the strong weekend showing of the car racing action flick, Fast and Furious 7, it dominated the box office this week at No. 1 followed by Slapstick comedy “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” which debuted in the second spot with $24 million in estimated sales. The movie features a hapless, scooter-driving security guard, Kevin James.

Ranking third in the US Box Office this week is another newcomer movie “Unfriended,” starring Heather Sossaman, which earned $16 million in sales.

The animated children’s film “Home,” which tells the story about an unpopular space alien forced to flee his own kind, earned the fourth spot on the chart by box office tracer Exhibitor Relations with an estimated earnings of $10.3 million. The movie features singers Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez.
