Darren Espanto to Perform “Tell The World of His Love” During Pope Francis Visit

Darren Espanto, one of the finalist of the first-ever “The Voice Kids” Philippines will perform the song “Tell the World of His Love” during the youth gathering on Sunday at the University of Santo Tomas with Pope Francis as one of the honored guests.

The 13-year-old Darren Espanto will perform the highly popular song “Tell the World of His Love,” the same song that was used during the 1995 World Youth Day presided by Saint John Paul II when the Pope visited the Philippines.

According to the former Canadian talent search contestan, he is already rehearsing the song so he could render a perfect performance on Sunday. The singer also feels honored as he was chosen as one of the artist who will perform while the Pope will be watching them.

Darren Espanto also revealed to the media that if he is given the opportunity to talk to the Pope, the first thing he could say is hello. He was quoted as saying “Sasabihin ko po una ‘hello’ tapos sasabihin ko ‘Thank you for being a symbol of faith and hope for us and it’s so nice to meet you.’”

According to ABS-CBN reports, aside from The Voice Kids finalist Darren Espanto, other Kapamilya stars will also performed during Pope Francis visit which includes Lyca Gairanod, Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos and Jed Madela.
