Nov. 2014 Marine Engineer Officers Top 10 Passers (Topnotchers)

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the official results of the November 2014 Marine Engineer Officer Board Exam conducted last November after nine working days. Aside from the official list of passers, the PRC also released the list of Topnotchers or the Top Passers of the Marine Engineer Officer Board Exam. Kent Duquiatan Darantino topped the Second Marine Engineer Officer, while UC graduate Thom Jer Magdadaro Bacalso and Melvin Segador Cabalhin topped the Officer-in-Charge of an Engineering Watch Board Exam.

According to the PRC a total of 17 out of 29 passed the CHIEF MARINE ENGINEER OFFICERS Licensure Examination, 209 out of 388 passed the SECOND MARINE ENGINEER OFFICERS Licensure Examination and 456 out of 832 passed the OFFICER-IN-CHARGE OF AN ENGINEERING WATCH Licensure Examination given by the Board for Marine Engineer Officers in Manila and Cebu this November 2014.

Kent Duquiatan Darantino from the Eastern Visayas University in Tacloban City topped the November 2014 Second Marine Engineer Board Exam, with a rating of 86.50% while Gaudioso Apa Petez II from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific ranked at the Top 2 spot with an average rating of 86.00%.

The PRC also announced that a total of two University of Cebu (UC) students namely, Thom Jer Magdadaro Bacalso and Melvin Segador Cabalhin were tied at the No. 1 spot in the No. 1 spot in the November 2014 Officer-in-Charge of an Engineering Watch Board Exam with an average of 87.00%.

The official results of the November 2014 Marine Engineer Officers Licensure Examination were released after nine (9) working days from the last day of examination. The date and venue for the oattaking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be announced later according to the PRC’s announcement.
