The Philippines bet in the recently concluded MTV EMA’s Best Southeast Asia Act, Sarah Geronimo will advance to the next round of voting at the MTV EMA’s after she won the Southeast Asian regional qualifier. Sarah Geronimo will now represent Southeast Asia as in the regional finals of the MTV Europe Music Awards. The singer and coach of The Voice Philippines added another achievement to her musical career.
The 26-year-old Sarah Geronimo was recently named the Best Southeast Asia Act at the 2014 MTV Europe Music Awards. The Filipino singer will now advance to the second part of the regional category, if she wins will represent Asia as the nominee for the Best Worldwide Act.
Fans and followers of Sarah Geronimo can vote for her from October 23, 2014 up to October 29, 2014 at around 11:59 PM (Central European Time). All Filipinos are encouraged to vote for our very own Filipino nominee through mtvema.com.
The results of the competition will be revealed this coming October 30, Sarah Geronimo will be included in the Top 10 nominees of the Worldwide Act of the 2014 MTV EMA. She needs to beat Bibi Zhou of China and Hebe Tien of Taiwan for the SEA, China & Hong Kong and Taiwan category.
The MTV Europe Music Awards will be held at the SSE Hydrow in Glascow, United Kingdom this coming November 9, 2014 (November 10, Manila Time). Nicki Minaj is set to host the event aside from performing during the show.
Other notable guests and performers of the MTV EMA are Ariane Grande, Ed Sheeran, Calvin Harris, Charli XCX and many other world-renowned artists and musical performers.
