Marlisa Punzalan, the lone Filipino contestant on the hit singing competition, X Factor Australia enters the Top 10.
The 14-year-old schoolgirl and the youngest finalist in the worldly renowned singing competition managed to clinch on the Top 10 after she showcased a anew great performance recently.
During the Decade Challenge aired on Sunday, Marlisa Punzalan garnered a standing ovation from the show’s judges; Redfoo, Ronan Keating,
Dannii Minogue, and Natalie Bassingthwaighte with her soulful rendition of Olivia Newton John’s hit single “Hopelessly Devoted to You.”
“She’s back! I was lucky enough to perform the role of Sandy in Grease musical twice around the country and that is the hardest song ever! So low, so high… Your vocals are amazing. Outstanding!” Natalie Bassingthwaighte said.
Marlisa Punzalan struggled during the previous sing off where she gave rendition of Lady Gaga’s song “Paparazzi”because she is not feeling well. Although she’s sick , she was still able to gain positive feedback from her performance.
Marlisa Punzalan is among the toughest contestant in the competition. She has been praised for her vocal prowess despite her young age. The Filipina belongs to Ronan Keating’s Under 25 Females.
