According to a statement, Chiz Escudero planned the proposal with help of Heart Evangelista’s friend months ago but it was not pushed through. The lawmaker decided only to do it when he found a perfect time.
Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero went to Sorsogon on Thursday with some of their family members for vacation, while the kapuso star’s close friends Alessandra De Rossi and the couple Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino arrived on Friday without her knowledge.
“Heart had some friends over too. But on Friday, some of Heart’s friends started to arrive in Sorsogon without her knowledge. On Saturday came Alessandra da Rossi, Lovi (Poe) and Roco (Nacino) as well as some of Chiz’s friends from Manila,” It said on the statement.
The proposal happened at around 8 p.m. when one of Heart Evangelista’s friends led her to dinner area where their family and close friends were waiting. Before the 44-year-old politician pop the question, he read first the message of his girlfriend’s father, congratulating the both of them.
Chiz Escudero then asked the engagement ring from her son, went down to his knees and asked the 29-year-old actress’ hand. After Heart Evangelista said “yes”, fireworks lit up the skies and the couple sealed the proposal with a kiss.
Chiz Escudero, who was previously married with Christine Elizabeth Flores, and Heart Evangelista have been together for two years already.
