Lyca Gairanod was declared as the first-ever Grand Champion of The Voice Kids Philippines as announced on Sunday, Juy 27, 2014, during the last day of the grand finals of the competition. The youngest among the top four finalist won the grand prize of the country’s top-rating and top-trending singing competition.

The 9-year-old Lyca Gairanod performed the song “Basang Basa sa Ulan” during the duet rounds of the competition on Sunday alongside a celebrity performer and the original singer of the song, Aegis.

Lyca Gairanod of Team Sarah Geronimo brought home the grand prize of the competition. The young aspiring singer won a total of P1 million cash prize, a one-year recording contract from MCA Universal, House and Lot from Camella Homes, a Home Appliance Showcase, a musical instrument showcase, and P1 million worth of trust fund.
Team Sarah’s Lyca Gairanod who revealed during the early part of the competition that she used to scavenge junk in her native Cavite was declared as the ultimate winner of first-ever The Voice Kids Philippines.
The youngest finalist, one of Team Sarah’s bets in the “Final Showdown” clinched the grand title after getting the highest number of combined votes from the Saturday and Sunday’s edition of the grand finals.
Fellow Team Sarah Geronimo team mate, Darren Espanto ranked as the second most popular artist as he was declared as the First Runner-up, Juan Karlos Labajo Labajo from Cebu City and Team Bamboo’s lone representative finished as second runner-up and the last but not the least Darlene Vibares of Team Lea ranked as third runner-up of the top-rating singing competition in the country.
