Raymart Santiago revealed in an email he sent to ABS-CBN News the truth behind several photos of his estranged wife Claudine Barretto who appeared to have some bruises.
Photos featuring the “battered” actress surfaced online earlier. However, Raymart Santiago refused to divulge any statement regarding the controversial photos of his wife. The photos were reportedly taken during Holy Week in 2010.
Prior to several photos shared by Atty. Ferdinand Topacio on micro-blogging site, Twitter, the legal counsel of Claudine Barretto noted that her client applied make up to conceal the bruises. One of the photos even featured the actress covered with bandage.
However, contrary to the controversial photos they shared, Raymart Santiago shared some glimpse of his former wife likewise with bandage but this time in a an informal occasion. The location appears to be in a resort and she display no signs of being battered brutally.
“Here is a truthful version of the recent Twitter post of a make-up tutorial to conceal bruises, perhaps even wounds and scars, with the allusion of the subject having been battered. The wounds and scars are definitely real, but how they were sustained is a different story altogether,” Raymart Santiago said.
Some netizens claimed that the photos recently shared by Claudine Barretto is another hit for Raymart Santiago to inflict him on their continuing legal battle.
