Governor Joko Widodo is well-known in Indonesia not only as a politician but he is also known nationally as a fan of heavy metal music. One of his prized position was a bass guitar given and signed by the band Metallica after the band’s concert in Jakarta last year.

Although Gov. Jokowi owns the signed guitar, he decided to turn it over to the country’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to avoid a potential violation of Indonesia’s Corruption Law.

According to statistics there are about 69 million Facebook users in Indonesia, while the capital city of Jakarta is also considered as the world’s Twitter city. The Indonesian youths also turn to the internet for news and information because of the fact that the country’s political leaders owned some major TV networks in the country.
