Gawad Urian 2014 List of Official Winners Revealed

The Gawad Urian celebrates its 37th anniversary on June 17, 2014, Tuesday night, at the Dolphy Theater, one of the oldest studios of the Broadcast Center located Quezon City, Philippines. The Gawad Urian is presented by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino (Filipino Film Cristics), also regarded as the counterpart of the New York Film Critics Circle in the United States.

Angeli Bayani who stars in the award-winning movie titled “Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan,” won the Best Actress Award besting out veteran actress Nora Aunor, Cheri Gil, Eugene Domingo and Vilma Santos.

The internationally-acclaimed movie “On The Job,” also won some major awards including the Best Actor award given to veteran actor Joel Torre who played the lead role in the movie. Their movie also won with the Best Sound award.

Angel Aquino won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in “Ang Huling Cha Cha ni Anita,” while Jun-Jun Quintana won the Best Supporting Actor award.
