The Voice Kids Pilot Episode Conquered TV Ratings Nationwide

The country’s most popular singing competition “The Voice of the Philippines” gained a strong nationwide viewership on its Saturday’s premier, it was considered as the No. 1 most watched program in the Philippines over the weekend, according to the latest results posted by Kantar Media.

The Voice Kids Premier

During the Saturday’s pilot episode of ABS-CBN’s “The Voice Kids” garnered a total of 33.3% in national TV ratings according to the official details provided by Kantar Media based upon their statistics, Kantar Media uses a panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes nationwide.

The rival program of GMA-7 titled “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko,” lagged behind by 21 percentage points compared to The Voice, with a nationwide ratings of 11.9%. The Saturday’s episode of The Voice conquered the viewership habits of Filipinos.

During the Sunday’s episode of The Voice Kids, the rating even soared higher with an unprecedented increase in ratings, the nationwide ratings of “The Voice Kids” soared to 35.8% versus the 15.8% viewership of rival program “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho,” of GMA-7.

ABS-CBN also noted that to compare to the first two episodes of “The Voice of the Philippines” aired June 2013, this year’s The Voice Kids posted higher ratings. During last year’s The Voice Philippines first two episodes posted a nationwide ratings of 30.5% and 27.7% respectively.

As of May 25, 2014, a total of nine (9) artists already advanced to the next round of the competition after they were chosen by coaches Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo Manalac, and Lea Salonga. Team Sarah has 2 hopefuls, Team Bamboo has 4 while Lea has 3 aspiring singers.

Don’t forget to watch and witness the country’s aspiring young singers as they battle for the ultimate title as the first winners of “The Voice Kids,” the show is hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga, which will air every Saturdays at 6:45 PM and on Sunday 7:30 PM.
