The country’s most popular singing competition, The Voice returns on air, as ABS-CBN premiered “The Voice Kids” Philippines tonight, May 24, 2014. A total of 18 artists will showcase their skills and try to impress the three judges with their singing abilities.
During the Blind auditions of the show, coaches Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, and Lea Salonga will select the artists they want to mentor for the rest of the competition by just listening to the singer’s respective voice.
Before the announcement of the official contestants who will be mentored by the three judges, Sarah Geronimo sang the song “Right Now,” followed by Bamboo’s performance of the song “Happy,” and Lea Salonga showcased her singing ability by singing the song “Story of My Life.”
