Joselle Mariano represents Trece Martires, Cavite in the 2014 Miss Philippines Earth. The tourism student is an athlete who competed in the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association Meet in 2012. The lovely young lady from Cavite already represented her province during the 2013 Mutya ng Pilipinas beauty pageant.
The 18-year-old beauty from Cavite noted that during her childhood years, at the age of 8, she already learned to swim and at the age of 9 she begun to compete in the national level until now.
The athlete and beauty pageant contestant, Miss Joselle Mariano, participated in the Miss Tourism World Philippines beauty pageant held last November 11, 2012 at the AFP Theater inside Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City, when she was just 17 years of age. Joselle Mariano also participated in the 2013 Mutya ng Pilipinas beauty pageant.
The five feet and six-inch (5’6″) tall Joselle Mariano studied at Cavite State University taking up Education. She was also adjudged as the first runner-up in the Mr. & Ms. University Games 2011 held at Indang, Cavite City.
In an interview with Miss Philippines Earth Joselle Mariano described her growing years being an athlete which helped her become a sportsman which is good for her. For almost ten (10) years as an athlete, she learned how to value her time at an early age. She also learned how to respect other people’s feelings and most especially she knows how it feel to be a winner and loser sometimes.
In terms of Joselle’s environmental advocacy she was quoted as saying “My environmental advocacy is to push sustainable development as an organizing principle for human life on earth. Sustainable development is a development that meets the need of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs. It is a known fact that the government cannot achieve sustainable development on their own so, we all have a part to play small actions taken collectively can add up to real change.” she said.
