Sherryl Ann Reyes, the wife of actor-dancer Wowie de Guzman died last Saturday, April 26, 2014, one month after she gave birth to their first child.
The death of Sherryl Ann Reyes was confirmed by actress Gladys Reyes via her Facebook and Instagram accounts where she stated that the 26-year-old wife of the former teen idol and Universal Motion Dancers member passed away. Sherryl Ann Reyes, gave birth to her first child with Wowie de Guzman last month.
According to PhilStar, the probable cause of death was triggered by medicine which she took after suffering from muscle pain. Sherryl Ann Reyes was rushed in a nearby hospital after side effects manifested. The wife of the UMD member suffered seizure and unstable blood pressure.

The medical staff of the hospital tried to revive Sherryl Ann Reyes for three hours but she has already broke down. The remains of Wowie de Guzman’s wife is currently up for viewing in her hometown in Lubao, Pampanga.
Wowie de Guzman and Sherryl Ann Reyes got married in July 2013. The former couple tied the knot twice, in a civil wedding and a church wedding. Meanwhile, some netizens expressed their condolences for Wowie de Guzman’s loss.
“Nangyari yun, 11 p.m. ng April 26 Kinabukasan [April 27], nagpunta kami, dinalaw namin yung wake niya,” Gladys Reyes narrated. “Nakakaawa, kasi ang baby pa ng anak nila, one month pa lang simula nang manganak si Sherryl,” she said in an interview with PEP.ph.
“Baby girl yung anak nila na ang cute-cute, kamukha ni Wowie,” she said. “Noong makita kami ni Wowie, umiyak,” the award-winning actress further added.
