The Department of Labor and Employment announced a total of 65 job fairs nationwide this coming May 1, 2014 as part of the country’s celebration of the 2014 Labor Day. The announcement was made by DOLE on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.
According to the statement made by Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz the Labor Day Job Fairs will gather nearly 2,000 employers with 115,384 job vacancies across the country.
Sec. Baldoz was quoted as saying “The 65 job fairs will be simultaneous nationwide. These will be held in different venues in 16 regions under the overall supervision of the DOLE,” said Baldoz.
The number of employers and jobs available are expected to increase according to DOLE because there still a week to go before May 1. DOLE had already held a total of 266 job fairs starting from January 1 t0 March 31, which was attended by 81,859 job applicants with a total of 10,065 job seekers hired on-the-spot.

SMX Convention Center in Pasay City
SM Supermalls: North Edsa, Megamall, Valenzuela, Fairview, Novaliches, Manila, San Lazaro, Sta. Mesa, Pasig, Marikina, South Mall, Las Pinas, Sucat, Bicutan, BF Paranaque, and Muntinlupa.
CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region): Baguio Convention Center; SM City Baguio.
Region 1: SM Rosales Mall, Rosales, Pangasinan and at LGU-Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
