Mary Jean Lastimosa: Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2014 Coronation Video

The third-time participant of the Binibining Pilipinas beauty pageant, Miss Mary Jean Lastimosa finally earned the victory she deserved on Sunday night as she was declared as Bb. Pilipinas-Universe for the year 2014 succeeding Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up Ariella Arida.

The 26-year-old lovely lady from North Cotabato answered brilliantly the final Question and Answer portion. She was asked by reigning Miss Universe Gabriela Isler, “What is the greatest advantage of being a woman?”

The confident Mary Jean Lastimosa answered: “The greatest advantage of being a woman is being able to compose herself. Just like here, we’re standing in front of thousands of people, not knowing if you’re going to cheer for us or boo us. But we try to compose ourselves. We keep the emotions and show the beauty that is in us and tonight, thousands of people are standing here, celebrating the beauty of women.”

Mary Jean Lastimosa will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe beauty pageant to be held in Fortaleza, Brazil. This will be the second time that a Brazilian city will host the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant.

Aside from Mary Jean Lastimosa who was crowned as the Bb. Pilipinas – Universe, Miss Mary Anne Guidotti from Taguig City was also crowned as Bb. Pilipinas International 2014.

Cebu City pride Kris Tiffany Janson was named as the first-ever Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, the 24-year-old beauty will represent the county in the upcoming Miss Intercontinental beauty pageant to be held in a venue not yet announced by the organizers.
